Leading seasonal hairstyles include a shag, bob and pixie cut.
October 8, 2024
By: Melissa Meisel
Temperatures might be dropping, but celebrity hair stylist William Whatley—who is also the new creative education director for Scruples Haircare— reveals his hot, seasonal hair color and style predictions for fall and winter.
He is promoting a Sunset Copper, Sunset Radiant Red and a Hollywood Spotlight Blonde. In addition to his color trend looks, Whatley also has forecasted seasonal hair styles which feature a shag, bob and a pixie cut.
Blondes are pure honey with color accenting the face frame. Although we’re bringing the vibrant summer blondes down to a real beautiful honey, caramelized overtones still bring that brightness to the face frame with a lighter accent.
No winter blues are in the forecasts for the second half of 2024.
You will see the reds dominating fall and winter hues turning more into your maroons and your violet reds for a real sultry moody vibrancy.
Brunettes are a must for fall with a twist of chocolate and berry bringing out the shine that will break through any fall or winter cloudy day.
On the hairstyle front, predicts bobs are back with a bang – literally.
From shoulder length all the way up to chin length varying layers, but all have a fabulous fringe bang. To create that perfect framed face that also accentuates the eyes, add volume and texture or sleekness from the runways for fall and winter 2024 a lot of sleekness. I am seeing a lot of close to the head looks which translate to a bob.
Long-haired trends will be lots of full layering long hair getting bigger and fuller, but still loose and flowing.
The best cut for this is the shag. Like the bob, the shag has so many dimensions and trendy names but it’s just a variation of a perfectly executed shag. You can create volume without removing length. You can add a bang that flows into the sides seamlessly.
A variation for short hair is the pixie featuring a closer to the head feel is the fall-forward trend.
This cut creates and accents beautiful cheekbones, almond eyes and slender jawline, said the Scruples beauty expert.
